LONG gains when price rises. Shorts unlock at level 3; for the first trade, press the green ▲ LONG button.
Start here if you are new. This guide covers placing trades, reading the chart, managing risk, using indicators and unlocking the rest of the game.

02 / FIRST TRADE
You start with $10,000 and a stock already open. Follow these steps once to learn where the main controls are.
Market orders execute without another confirmation.

LONG profits when price rises. SHORT profits when price falls.
MARKET fills now. LIMIT waits for the price you enter.
Margin is your cash at risk. The percentage buttons size from available cash and reserve the fee.
Take profit and stop loss accept a price or percentage. On a limit order, they arm after entry fills.
Position size is margin × leverage. Higher tiers unlock as you level up.
Check position size, quantity, estimated fill, fee and liquidation price. A dash under estimated fill means slippage is below the game's 0.05% display threshold.
The button tells you exactly what will happen: BUY, SHORT or PLACE LIMIT.
For normal stocks, CLOSE exits the trade. It does not reverse your direction.
Normal stocks use BUY/LONG to open upward exposure and SHORT to open downward exposure. Player stocks and collectibles show BUY/SELL. Use CLOSE to exit a normal open position.
LONG gains when price rises. Shorts unlock at level 3; for the first trade, press the green ▲ LONG button.
MARKET fills now at the live price. LIMIT waits for the price you type. Use MARKET while learning the flow.
Margin is the cash committed to the position. The 25% shortcut keeps your first position deliberately manageable.
Review estimated fill, fees and liquidation distance, then press BUY. Market orders execute without another confirmation.
Your P&L moves live in Positions. CLOSE exits the trade, earns XP and pays a one-time $750 first-close bonus.
Finishing or skipping onboarding never punishes your account. New systems explain themselves as they unlock.
03 / PRICES + SESSIONS
Every player sees the same live prices. RSE 2 runs one shared market for everyone, including player stocks. Quotes, candles and fills are not different from player to player.
Rejoin to see dividends, IPO fills and liquidations that happened while you were away.
Player stocks use the same public pricing as every other market: when their price moves, everyone sees the same move.
Earnings, crashes, rallies, CPI and RBX Reserve decisions create price moves and chart markers.
The main floor. Stocks carry news, earnings and dividends; ETFs track baskets or indexes.
Always open and naturally volatile. Eight coins, including the meme end of the market.
Major markets and commodities with leverage built into every position.
Ten currency pairs with rate sensitivity, overnight carry and real cross-rate relationships.
Long calls and puts. Premium is the maximum loss; contracts settle in cash.
Request an allocation before listing day, then decide whether to hold the open or take the pop.

04 / ORDERS + RISK
The order ticket shows estimated fill, fees, margin and liquidation distance. Check those numbers before you submit a trade.
Long profits from a rise. Short profits from a fall. CLOSE always exits the current position; it does not flip you the other way.
Market trades immediately. Limit waits for your price. Large orders can slip, so estimated fill matters more than the last chart print.
Leverage multiplies both profit and loss. At 5X, a 1% move is roughly a 5% move on margin before fees.
Attach a stop loss and take profit before emotion takes over. They reverse correctly for short positions.

If loss consumes the allowed margin buffer, the position closes automatically. Watch liquidation distance — not just green or red P&L.
SMALLER SIZE = MORE ROOM TO BE WRONGNever confuse margin with position value. Exposure is margin multiplied by leverage.
Check estimated fill. Your own order can move thin markets on entry and exit.
Respect the session. Pre/post market is tradable but thinner; forex closes for the weekend.
Options cannot liquidate. A long contract can still expire worthless; the premium is your maximum loss.
Below $1,000 portfolio value triggers recovery. Exposure freezes, then the fund restarts at $10,000 without deleting permanent progress.
Open to close. Green closes above the open; red closes below it.
The full high-to-low range touched during that candle.
The game reserves the lower 12% of the chart when volume is on.
The dashed line and right-side tag follow the forming candle.
Rendered in the page from the same layout, scaling and color rules used by the RSE 2 chart code. Move your pointer over the chart to inspect a candle.
05 / INDICATORS
Turn on a built-in indicator, combine functions in the formula builder, or write an RSEScript with multiple plots, labels and guides.
EXAMPLES
Price-pane indicators use the dollar scale. Oscillators and ratios belong in a sub pane so they do not crush the candle axis.

Lengths are 1–200 bars unless a heavier function uses a tighter cap. Scripts are parsed and bounded; they are not executable Lua code.
